Final exams

Final exams

life  The final exams are conducted by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor (only establishment in Israel qualified to give a lifeguard certification) and include: practical in-water exam (about 3 hours), theoretical exam (about 1.5 hours) and a first aid course examination. A “qualified lifeguard” certificate will be given to those who successfully pass all the exams, within 3 weeks after the exams.

 

The practical exams are conducted by examiners from the Ministry of industry trade and labor, and   include all of the material covered in the course. Every participant must be able to demonstrate all skills acquired during the course. Minimum grade of 70 is required.

 

The theoretical exam is composed of 30 multiple choice questions (choosing the correct answer out of 4 possible answers). Minimum grade of 70 is required.

 

The first aid &CPR/AED examination will take place at the end of the first aid course, during the lifeguarding course. Minimum grade of 85 is required.

 

In order to obtain the lifeguarding certification, the participant must pass all 3 parts of the exams. In the case of non-success in the practical examination and / or theoretical examination, you can be examined again after 3 weeks. In case of failure of the first aid examination, you can be examined again with no time limitation.
